Custom Fields

A CRM shaped around your business, not the other way round.

Every business captures different data. An auto workshop needs licence plate numbers. An estate agent needs property size and location. A web agency needs project type and budget range. Custom fields let you record exactly the information that matters – directly on contacts, leads, and opportunities.

When standard fields are not enough

Every industry tracks different data – EasyCRM adapts

Standard CRM fields cover name, company, phone, and email. But an auto workshop also needs the vehicle registration number and model year. An estate agent wants to see property type and preferred area on the contact card. A web agency notes the preferred technology stack or budget size. Your admin defines custom fields in settings – no coding, no IT ticket required. Fields appear on all records of the relevant type across the entire team the moment they are created.

  • Track licence plate and vehicle type for auto workshops
  • Record property address or floor area for estate agents
  • Store company registration number directly on the contact
  • Note project type or technology stack for agencies
  • Log preferred contact time or account manager name
  • Admin defines fields without writing a single line of code

Plans and field management

The number of custom fields grows with your plan

Custom fields are a feature for growing teams that want a CRM configured to their workflow. The Free plan does not include custom fields – it is designed for a quick start with default information. The Standard plan allows up to 10 custom fields, which is enough for most small businesses. The Pro plan has no limit – create as many fields as your industry demands. All fields are managed by the admin in the organisation settings. Once created, a field appears immediately on all records of that type across the whole team.

  • Free plan – no custom fields
  • Standard plan – up to 10 custom fields
  • Pro plan – unlimited custom fields
  • Admin creates and manages fields in settings
  • Fields appear instantly on all existing records
  • Field types include text, number, date, and dropdown list

Mobile app and filtering

Custom fields in the mobile app and filter lists

Custom fields are not just for the desktop. The EasyCRM mobile app shows custom fields directly on the customer card – a sales rep in the field can check the vehicle registration number before arriving at an auto workshop, or review a property address before a client meeting. You can also filter lists by custom field values, making it easy to find all customers with a specific project type or from a particular region.

  • Custom fields visible on the mobile customer card
  • Filter lists by custom field values
  • Field content always up to date – real-time sync
  • Quickly locate a record by a specific field value

FAQ

Questions about custom fields

Custom fields are created by the organisation admin in EasyCRM settings. Enter a field name, choose the type (text, number, date, or dropdown list), and select which record type the field applies to – contacts, leads, or opportunities. The field appears immediately on all records of that type.

It depends on your plan. The Free plan does not support custom fields. The Standard plan allows up to 10 custom fields. The Pro plan has no limit and you can create as many fields as you need. Current limits are always visible in your organisation settings.

Custom fields are visible directly on the record card in both the desktop application and the EasyCRM mobile app. The field appears on all existing and new records of the relevant type. You can also use custom fields to filter lists.

Yes. The admin can rename or delete a field in organisation settings. Note: deleting a field permanently removes all values stored in that field across every record. We recommend exporting your data before deleting a field that contains important information.

No. Custom fields are optional unless the admin configures them otherwise. Leaving a field empty does not affect the record. We recommend naming important fields clearly so the team knows what information belongs there.
